Wolfenstein The Old Blood

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood releases today for the Xbox One, the PS4 and the PC and to celebrate that launch, Bethesda has released the official launch trailer. As is the case with this new take on the long-running game series, there is plenty of blood, gore and action in the video. The trailer also gives us a bit more of a look at the backstory of The Old Blood.

For those who don’t know, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is supposed to serve as a kind of additionanl content to Wolfenstein: The New Order. This game is said to take a more in depth look into the origins of the Nazi technology that was featured so prominently in The New Order. That technology was actually enough to win World War II in the alternate reality New Order takes place.

Some of that technology brought brand new weapons never seen before in the theater of war. The tech also created living weapons out of what could only be described as “used to be men.” The Old Blood once again pits BJ Blazkowicz against the Nazi army. This time, the US soldier is attempting to break into Castle Wolfenstein in order to find out the location of General Deathshead. Along the way Blazkowicz will face off against a number of different enemies all trying to make sure he doesn’t accomplish his final objective. As the video promises, technology won’t be the only thing standing in his way. Zombies also make an appearance in The Old Blood, just to add to the mayhem.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is out on the PS4, Xbox One and PC now, check out the launch trailer below.
