Wonder Boy Returns Remix Releases on Switch May 23

The remixed remake of the original Wonder Boy is coming to Nintendo's platform this month.

We reported earlier about Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap coming to mobile systems, but it looks like there’s more news for the revived franchise, as Wonder Boy Returns Remix is coming to the Nintendo Switch near the end of this month.

As you can see from the announcement trailer below, this is a package of a full remake of the original 1986 side-scroller Wonder Boy and is an enhanced version of Wonder Boy Returns, which released last year on PlayStation 4 and PC. The remake sports HD recreations and rearranged versions of 32 levels, all overseen by the game’s original creator. Remix will also add a ‘charged shot’ feature that will allow you to defeat whole groups of enemies with a single shot. The Dragon’s Trap actually sold more on Nintendo’s console than every other one combined, so it was only a matter of time before this remake made it over as well.

Wonder Boy Returns Remix releases on the Switch May 23rd and will be available via the eShop for $14.99.
