World of Warcraft Classic

Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft Classic is still two weeks away with the recent pre-launch stress test concluding on Friday. However, you can already start creating and naming characters ahead of release. The developer has announced that its name reservation program is now live. This means that subscribers can create three characters and choose their names before the game is out.

There are a few requirements though. You need an active World of Warcraft subscription and must log into WoW Classic through the client. Along with a name, you have to choose your realm. Those interested in PvP must also be of the same faction.

For more information, check out Blizzard’s official post here. World of Warcraft Classic is out on August 26th for PC and will essentially provide a vanilla experience that predates The Burning Crusade expansion. If you’ve ever wanted to see what WoW was like back in the old days, check it out on PC – all current subscribers receive access for no extra charge.
