505 Games and Leenzee Games recently confirmed a release date for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Souls-like action RPG set during the Ming Dynasty. Thus far, the developer has confirmed 25 unique weapons and 40 spells while highlighting various boss fights (like Fang Ling).

However, 505 Games brand community manager Stephen Takowsky revealed some intriguing details in a new preview video. For instance, Wuchang is described as a “non-linear experience,” which extends to the bosses. You can decide which ones to fight first, thus mixing up the strategy involved (though it’s unknown if their level scales accordingly).

Takowsky also revealed that the accumulation of Feathering magic differs depending on your weapon, further influencing your playstyle. As for the bosses, they’re “meticulously crafted” to provide a “memorable and challenging experience.”

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers launches on July 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC for $49.99 and will also be available on Game Pass. Its average playtime is about 40 to 60 hours, though there are multiple endings to unlock.
