In preparation for WrestleMania XXX, which will be happening next year, the upcoming WWE 2K14 will feature a 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode, which allows players to experience more than 45 matches from different WrestleMania events throughout history. This means Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, The Rock vs. “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan, The Rock vs. John Cena and many more.
2K Games also thus confirmed that along with Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan – in both avatars – and Andre the Giant would be playable characters.
Senior Director of Marketing at 2K Chris Snyder stated that, “For nearly three decades, WWE has inspired millions worldwide through the historic, cultural and undeniable phenomenon that is WrestleMania. Through the 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode in WWE 2K14, players can now relive their favorite nostalgic and recent WrestleMania moments – from an incredible roster to authentic presentation and match play – in a unique and engaging way.”
The mode will be divided into five unique eras, and feature unique presentation for each. Video packages and cut-scenes make a return along with historical objectives which allow you to recreate different moments in order to unlock rewards such as other Superstars, alternate outfits, arenas and much more.
WWE 2K14 releases on October 29th in North America and November 1st worldwide for PS3 and Xbox 360.
