Yesterday was the big coming out party for WWE 2K20. While its big focus on female superstars is something new for the series, it seems the game will also have something new, something arguably even bigger of a shift for the simulation series: a new developer.

In a statement to VGC, publisher 2K confirmed that the game is not being developed by longtime partner, Yuke’s, and will instead be developed by Visual Concepts, the team behind the NBA 2K annual series. While a developer change may not seem like a big deal, Yuke’s has been developing WWE titles since the original Smackdown! game on PlayStation 20 years ago in 1999. They have been the sole developer of WWE branded titles for over a decade now. Yuke’s announced earlier they were working on another wrestling title, so they will have something else in the genre to show, but it will no longer be WWE branded.

WWE 2K20 will release October 22nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
