Over the weekend, we got a leak of the cover and the collector’s edition for WWE 2K20, the latest in the annual wrestling simulator. It’s the first time since the WWE titles changed from the Smackdown! branding to 2K that a female has been on the cover with Becky Lynch, being shared by Roman Reigns, and it seems it’s not just the cover that’s giving the women their due as female superstars will be getting in on the action in a big way.
For the first time, women will have their own playable MyCareer, something that fans have requested for a long time. The signature Showcase mode will also be focused on “The Women’s Evolution,” focusing on The Four Horsewomen stable of Becky Lynch, Bailey, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair and their rise to the top of the industry.
Along with that will come a bit of a shakeup to the DLC schedule as post-launch content will be called WWE 2K20 Originals, and will include new Showcase content rolled out at a steady pace.
Wrestler Xavier Woods broke down some details and some first screens and videos from the game, which you can see below. Along with that 2K announced full details on the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition of the game. You can pick those up when WWE 2K20 drops October 22nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
