The Xbox One Scorpio is due to launch later this year. With a 6 TFLOP GPU, the Scorpio is going to be the most powerful home console ever made, and far beyond anything that any existing console can achieve. Naturally, then, excitement for the new system is pretty high- which is why we latch on to any new bit of information that is shared about the system.

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, as an example, recently shared that he just got to play his very first game on the Scorpio, noting that even though it was an ‘early unit,’ the game played great, and the console looks right. Of course, with the Scorpio not due to launch for the better part of a year, a lot could change, but on the whole, it’s promising to hear that things have started off on the right foot.

The Xbox Scorpio is due to launch later this year, in the Holiday season. Microsoft maintains that it will have full inter-compatibility with the Xbox One and the Xbox One S.
