Xbox might have its gaze fixed on its future in modern gaming with Project Helix, but that doesn’t mean it’s neglecting the present by any measure. Indeed, Xbox Insiders will have a way to celebrate the past, with a new Mythic Achievement awarded for any game where you’ve completed all of the original Achievements.
That doesn’t include those added with DLC or expansions, which means you could already have quite a few on your profile if you’re part of the program. It even goes as far back as Xbox 360 titles, which means that there are probably a lot that you’re proud of seeing through to their finish, now waiting to be showcased to your friends and loved ones on Xbox.
Does this bring anything more than bragging rights? Probably not. Are those bragging rights a great way to appreciate how far modern gaming has come by making you look back at all the great games you’ve played over the years? Definitely. On balance, we’d call this one a win, and it’s definitely better than Microsoft’s CEO saying what he said about the recent layoffs at Xbox.
