Xbox Humbled By “Record-Breaking” Demand For Xbox Series X And Xbox Series S

The official Twitter apparently bows to you.

Well, today was the big day that pre-orders opened for both of Microsoft’s next generation consoles, the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S. It seems it went by and large as you’d expect with most places reporting that the initial batch went very quickly. Microsoft was, no doubt, excited about it since they even had a pre-order trailer to highlight the power of the Series X. It seems it was apparently a humbling day, too.

The official Xbox Twitter posted shortly after pre-orders went live giving a big thanks to fans, saying they were humbled for the demand, saying it was “record-breaking.” It’s not clear what record is being broken (presumably launch for Xbox One, but it’s not explicitly stated), and of course this is the official Xbox Twitter so it’s not like they are going to post a negative message shortly after a high profile launch, but hey, it is what it is: a nice gesture.

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be available on November 10th. Pre-orders are now open at all major retailers in all major regions, if you can find them.
