With the Xbox One nearly upon us, there’s been concern about Microsoft’s “Games With Gold” program which grants Xbox Live Gold subscribers with two free games every month. Though the program will be continuing on Xbox 360, there was no news about whether it would arrive on the Xbox One. Until now, that is.

Director of programming for Xbox Live Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb recently confirmed on Twitter that Games with Gold will indeed be available on the Xbox One.

More details on the same will be revealed in 2014. Will you be able to carry over games you downloaded onto your Xbox One? That’s one of the more pressing questions right now.

The Games With Gold program has been going fairly strong since its introduction with games like Halo 3, Assassin’s Creed II and Crackdown offered for free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. This month’s deals include A World of Keflings and then Iron Brigade. The Xbox One will launch on November 22nd.
