A brand new feature that will be introduced to the series with Forza Motorsport 6 will be mods. Mods will let players tune their cars in a variety of ways, giving them a better shot at actually winning- these mods could be anything, from changing the handling and stats of your car, to adding bonus multipliers at the end of each race.

It’s a system that will be similar to the perks in Forza Horizon 2, or skulls in Halo 4, according to developer Turn 10. Mods will come in three categories- dare mods, which add additional challenges or requirements to a race, for the chance to win additional credits; crew mods, which are actual changes made to your car; and boost mods, which function similarly to crew mods, but are one time use only.

Forza Motorsport 6 launches exclusively for the Xbox One this September. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of, and information on, the game.
