Digital game gifting has been a feature that has been a long time coming to the Xbox One; it’s been available to Insiders for a while, but today, it is a feature that is being made available to everyone. As of today, everyone can buy and gift a game digitally on Xbox One to others- right in time for the Holiday season, too!
It’s not just games you can gift, either- subscriptions to Xbox Live, or Xbox Game Pass, can also be gifted to others. Once the recipient of the gift gets the notification, they literally have to go through just one click to redeem it for themselves. It’s really easy- and is bound to get people even more invested in the Xbox digital ecosystem (which I suspect is one of the motives behind this feature being introduced).
