Xbox One Scorpio’s Power Is Reserved Mostly For The Biggest Developers, Agony Dev Opines

If you think about it, he sort of has a point.

The Xbox One Scorpio promises to be the most powerful home console ever made- though the question of just how that power will be tapped, given that Microsoft are mandating parity with the standard Xbox One, for all games, is one that remains unanswered.

So when GamingBolt had a chance to sit down with Tomasz Dutkiewicz, CEO of Madmind Studio (the developers of the upcoming game Agony), we decided to pose just this question to him. How would this extra power be used meaningfully?

“It will be totally up to the developers. I believe there will be many titles that will show how powerful this console actually is, but the important thing is that making improved version of the game requires lots of money and time. So I guess this power is reserved mostly for the biggest companies.”

It is important to remember he is not being literal- he is making a point about budgetary constraints, and how the Xbox One further adds to them. If you think about it, he’s not wrong: for the Xbox One Scorpio, and the PS4 Pro as well, it’s likely to be the biggest developers who can benefit from the additional resources the most.
