Xbox One X

It has been almost a week since the launch of the Xbox One X and according to a report by GamesIndustry.biz, the console has been selling really well. The console is being targeted towards a niche market of those who want to enjoy gaming on a high-end console. However 80,000 units of  the Xbox One X has already sold in the UK in just one week, whereas only 50,000 units of the PS4 Pro were sold within the same time period.

The Xbox One X then is off to a positive start, rivaling the launch week of the Nintendo Switch in terms of sales numbers. Perhaps this indicates that the market for high-end gaming is indeed growing as Microsoft had predicted. On the other hand, it also needs to be taken into account that both the PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch launch sales were affected due to a shortage in stock.

It is also likely that the console will sell much better in the US and it will be interesting to see if it is in demand in markets worldwide.
