The Xbox One’s Wireless Display App is now officially live and available for download for Preview Members by way of an update from Microsoft. This new app will allow Xbox One users to project the screen of their favourite wireless device to a TV or monitor of their choosing thanks to the Xbox One and Miracast.

Using Miracast, a wireless display app with a wide support range, lets you “project” the screen of your chosen device. To get the Wireless Display App, start the “Extend Your Screen” tab where you will be taken to the Xbox Store and from there you can start your download. Once this is done you can launch the app and start making use of it.

When you launch the app you’ll be taken through a series of scenarios that will show you the basics and capabilities of the app. But at this time, there are some known bugs and issues. Premium paid content, Netflix and Hulu+ for example, are blocked. HDCP protected devicves will not be able to use the app, this includes the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, Note 2 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The service also doesn’t support iOS as Miracast is incompatible with it.
