Thanks to recent reports and leaks, we know that a redesign of the Xbox store is on the horizon, which makes sense, considering that the Xbox Series X will be releasing mere months from now. Leaks say that the redesigned store will be common across both, the Xbox One and the upcoming Series X- and allegedly, the same will be true for the Xbox dashboard as well.
Over on Twitter, Tom Warren of The Verge reports that the Xbox Series X will have the same dashboard as the Xbox One. The dashboard will be receiving an update soon, which will make it ready for the next-gen console, and though there will be some new features specific to the Series X to leverage the console’s new features – as well as improvements to its speed and performance – the UI will largely be the same for both consoles.
This doesn’t come from official channels, so take this as a rumour for now, but this approach does make a lot of sense in context of how Microsoft have been approaching next-gen. Given their generation-agnostic strategy and the fact that they consider the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and other platforms – such as PC and xCloud – it makes sense that they’ll want to have uniformity with the user interface across all of their devices.
I can confirm the Xbox Series X dashboard will be the same as the Xbox One. Microsoft is adding some additional stuff in for the console features, but the UI and dash will be the same. Speed and perf will also be improved

I think it's a good thing that the Xbox dashboard is aligned on Xbox One and Xbox Series X. There will be improvements in the coming months, and there's a new Store app on the way. Things have been gradually improving on the dash, and will continue to do so
