XCOM: Enemy Unknown Developer Panel from PAX 2012 Now Available

"A thousand stupid ideas on the road to glory" sums it up well.

Posted By | On 12th, Sep. 2012

Creating a new XCOM, especially one that is meant to channel the spirit of the original while taking the franchise forward, couldn’t have been easy. As Firaxis describes, there was a lot of dumb ideas before they travelled on the straight and narrow path to glory.

In a developer panel at PAX 2012, members of the development team decided to sit down and decided to talk about the overall development process. This includes what worked and what didn’t work throughout the entire process.

More than an hour long, but certainly worth the watch.
