Xenoblade Chronicles 2_01

Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches tomorrow and the epic, open world turn-based RPG has a ton of things going for it. The environments appear striking and varied; the combat is more intuitive but still incredibly in-depth and customizable; and even the story is kind of interesting despite its anime trappings. However, it seems that the game will also pay homage to previous game series Xenosaga by featuring a returning character.

That’s right – KOS-MOS, the android from the Xenosaga series will be included as a playable Blade. Blades are essentially the different weapons that players can equip and come with their own combos and personalities. With how awesome KOS-MOS was in Xenosaga – and how the various games in the Xeno series have to be connected – this is an interesting development indeed.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is out on December 1st for the Nintendo Switch. You can learn more about the game’s development here. Stay tuned for more information on reviews and impressions in the coming days.
