Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna - The Golden Country

Xenoblade 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, the upcoming standalone expansion pack for the hit JRPG Monolith Soft released last year, has just received a brand new trailer. This trailer, which you can see for yourself below, focuses on the story that this expansion will cover.

In case you have been out of the loop, this expansion is a prequel, set during the Aegis War from 500 years ago, following Adam, Mythra’s original driver, and the story of that conflict. Jin, Malos, and Amalthus, the antagonists of the base game, also feature in the expansion prominently- though not necessarily in the capacities you might expect.

The trailer can potentially spoil revelations that are made over the course of Xenoblade 2 proper- so unless you have completed that game, or flat out don’t plan to play it, don’t watch it. Torna ~ The Golden Country, of course, is standalone, and can be played independently of the original game.

Xenoblade 2 is available now, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country launches exclusively on the Switch on September 14.
