Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa earmarked the series as seeing "dramatic sales growth" on the Nintendo Switch compared to other platforms.
"We are thinking of making its volume of content as large as Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country," says producer Genki Yokota.
The large scope of the games connects them more than direct story beats.
