Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was easily one of the biggest new announcements in the Nintendo Direct presentation in February, but since its announcement, new details on the action RPG, due out later this year, have been rather scant.
Recently, however, Nintendo accidentally let slip a new glimpse at the highly anticipated sequel. As spotted by @MBgov1133 over on Twitter, Nintendo recently updated the eShop page of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and uploaded new key art. The change has since been reversed, suggesting that it was updated on accident.
The previously released key art for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which you can see above, showed the game’s two primary protagonists, Noah and Mioh, standing on a grassy plain, overlooking distant corpses of titans. The new key art, which you can find below, shows a similar landscape, but instead of the two protagonists, it shows all six main characters, who have been previously detailed by Nintendo.
One might hope that this accidental update is a precursor to upcoming new details, but of course, that’s just wishful thinking at this point. Either way, with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 due out for the Switch this September, it probably won’t be long before Nintendo has more to say about the game.
