Xenoblade Chronicles Announced for Wii U

X finally makes the transition to the Xeno-verse.

Monolith Soft’s X was teased at last year’s Nintendo Direct and now, the developer has finally confirmed the Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii U. Check out the first gameplay trailer above.

There’s not much we know about the story – since the trailer was in Japanese – but the usual mechs or Gears from the universe are present with full effect. A war is going on and there’s plenty of despair in the air much like XenoSaga. It looks good and carries that signature JRPG tone that we love about the franchise. Too bad we didn’t get to see the battle system in action but there’s still plenty of time for this to be revealed.

What are your thoughts on Xenoblade Chronicles? Let us know in the comments below. Monolith Soft has a 2015 date attached to the trailer, which we’re hoping is a release date so stay tuned for more information.
