Yakuza 5 Not Releasing in North America Till Fall 2015

A small delay, but a delay nonetheless.

Yakuza 5

The long awaited localization of Yakuza 5, which was announced to be hitting Summer of 2015, has now been pushed to Fall 2015, Sega has confirmed. They have updated their Yakuza 5 page on their page to reflect this change in anticipated release dates too.

For fans of the Yakuza series in the west, who are long since accustomed to delayed releases, if they even get any releases in the first place, this is probably par for the course, but honestly, they have to feel a little disappointed at this. This announcement of an official localization was the most support they had seen for their favorite series in the west in a very long time- a delay has got to sting.

Still, the silver lining here is that while this is a delay, it is a small delay, and hopefully we will see Yakuza 5 release without any more issues come Fall. Stay tuned for more information.
