Yakuza 5 Story and Game Introduction Trailers Released

Finally! Some one explains just what's going on (even if it's in Japanese).

Sega has released some very lengthy trailers for their upcoming open world, crime-themed action/adventure game Yakuza 5. The first – a story trailer – explains what’s going on in the game (sort of). Clocking out at 10 minutes, we get a look at the events setting up the game. Needless to say, if you haven’t played the series till now you might be a little lost. Still, it looks pretty damn good.

The next trailer introduces players to the game itself, outlining the activities you can take part in and the world itself. Also, idols. Can’t forget the idols.

Yakuza 5 is, for the time being, set to release exclusively on the Playstation 3 in Japan this December 6th. Unlike previous games in the series that have been reusing the Yakuza 3 engine, it will feature a brand new graphical engine to accomodate the increased scale, which encompasses 5 settings and 5 playable main characters.
