Yakuza 5

It’s been a long time coming, but Yakuza 5’s western release is finally here. And you know what? We will be compensated for the wait, too. Yakuza 5 will be available in the west, at launch, with all the subsequent DLC that was made available separately for the game in Japan included at launch.

Yep, all the DLC for Yakuza 5 will be included with the base game at launch- this includes “Another Drama” which is a series of extensive sub-plots that focus on each protagonist. With Yakuza 5 having five different protagonists, and each protagonist having a very different setting and story, that might make this DLC to be the best part of the game.

Yakuza 5 will be launching exclusively on the PlayStation 3, digitally, this Fall. The game is coming over to the west thanks to the efforts of Sony’s Third Party Productions team, which decided to undertake the localization of the game when Sega themselves passed on it.

Stay tuned for further coverage.
