Yakuza 6 New Trailer Catches You Up With The Story So Far

Fill in the gaps between Kiwami and 6.

With the Yakuza series finally having found some traction in the west, thanks to the excellent dual releases of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami this year, all eyes are now on the next big Yakuza release- Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, which is meant to be a capstone to series protagonist Kiryu’s story (the next Yakuza game has an entirely new protagonist).

If you’ve only played 0 and Kiwami, or if you’re a newcomer looking to jump in with the upcoming game, this new trailer for the title will probably help you find your footing a bit- it basically recounts and recaps the story between Kiwami and 6, so that you have better context for the events in 6, and their larger meaning to the story’s arc.

You can check out the video for yourself below. Yakuza 6 will launch exclusively on the PS4; its western release date will be March 20, 2018, over a year after its Japanese release.
