Sega’s Yakuza Kiwami arrives on August 29th for the West with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life coming in March 2018. However, there may be yet another remake of a classic Yakuza coming soon with Yakuza Kiwami 2. At least according to a listing on the Taiwanese PlayStation Store, which has since been pulled.

The listing said that Yakuza Kiwami 2, which would be a remake of Yakuza 2, would release on December 7th for the Taiwanese PlayStation Store. This is likely the Japanese release date for the game as well so it could be a while before it arrives in the West. Late 2018 wouldn’t be too much of an exaggeration if/when Sega decides to bring it over to North America and Europe.

A Yakuza event will be held on August 26th so it’s likely that Sega will officially announce Yakuza Kiwami 2 (and other projects) for the coming year. Until then, check out our official review of Yakuza Kiwami here.
