Yoshi's Crafted World

Nintendo released a surprise new trailer for Yoshi’s Crafted World, a side-scrolling platformer featuring our favourite dino. However, the trailer does more than offer story set-up – it confirms the release date. The title will be out on March 29th for Nintendo Switch.

What’s going on with the story? It seems the Yoshi clan has a set of gems set in stone that they’re protecting. Of course, Kamek and Baby Bowser are out to steal it. The ensuing struggle causes the gems to be scattered throughout the world, and it’s up to the various Yoshis to recover it.

The most interesting part about Yoshi’s Crafted World is how the stages can be flipped and played backwards. On top of offering a new perspective and different ways to platform, new secrets are opened up as well. The diorama style also looks incredibly appealing and meshes rather well with the series’ atmosphere. Check out the trailer below.
