The iconic helmets from the Halo franchise are now available as officially licensed products, and available to pre-order. Project Triforce (yes, the irony of that name selling Halo merchandize is not lost on me) have opened pre-orders for officially licensed Halo helmets on their website.
The helmets are modeled after characters Kelly-087 and Jameson Locke (the dude who os hunting Master Chief in Halo 5), and feature hand-painted art and LED lights that can be activated. The helmets weigh 15 pounds. In other words, for the Halo fan, they are a pretty neat piece of merchandize to have, even though the missed opportunity at not having a Master Chief helmet in this lineup cannot be overstated.
That said, they are going to cost you a pretty penny, as they are a staggering $650 each. For reference, you can get a new Xbox One and a PS4 for that money, and play Halo, and whatever shooter Sony is propping up as the flagship for its consoles. That said, these are limited (only 500 of each will be made), so there’s more value to them than just having cool Halo merchandize- they’re collectibles, too.
So… I mean, I’m a Halo fan and all too, but yeah.
