You Will Hear From Xbox’s Kudo Tsunoda This Year, Microsoft Confirms

Mastermind of Kinect working on something big.

Kinect for Windows v2

The mastermind of Kinect, and one of the most talented and creative people at the Xbox division, Kudo Tsunoda, has been out of the limelight for a while, although Phil Spencer has been teasing that he’d be returning to the spotlight this year, and yesterday, Aaron Greenberg did the exact same thing on his Twitter.

“Kudo is a great dude and working on some amazing things. You will hear from him this year.”

Of course, now that Kinect has largely fallen to the wayside, one has to wonder just what Tsunoda is working on- is he working on the Fortaleza project that we have heard so much about? Is he behind Microsoft’s AR/Illumiroom initiatives? Or maybe he is working on developing Microsoft’s take on VR?

Whatever it is, we can be sure that it will be unexpected and something truly groundbreaking. Unlike Kinect, we also hope that it actually works on its first go this time around.
