Falcom’s Ys 9: Monstrum Nox will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch on July 6th. The latest in the long-running action RPG series, it released this past February for PS4. Check out the latest trailer with gameplay footage that’s seemingly from the Switch version.

Ys 9: Monstrum Nox sees protagonist Adol Christin and his friend Dogi caught up in turmoil yet again, this time in the prison city Balduq. After Adol is detained, a strange woman named Aprilis bestows the power of Monstrum on him. Together with other Monstrum, Adol must unravel the situation in Balduq along with learning more about the Monstrum Curse.

Like its predecessor, Ys 9: Monstrum Nox offers several unique characters that can be switched to in combat. Each has their own unique combat and traversal abilities. Mechanics like Flash Dodge and Flash Guard return along with Boost Mode and new Gifts to turn the tide. For more details on the game, check out our review for the PS4 version here.
