Zombie Army 4: Dead War might not be the most high-profile shooter out there, but Rebellion’s co-op zombie shooter is a solid game, one that knows exactly what it is and embraces that fully. It’s been getting pretty good post-launch support since it launched over a year ago, and now, with the game’s latest update, Rebellion have added enhancements to the game to leverage the more powerful hardware of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

On PS5, the game now runs at a dynamic 4K resolution at 60 FPS, and boasts faster load times. On Xbox Series X, the update adds two modes to the game- performance mode allows for 1080p at 120 FPS, while quality mode will give you dynamic 4K at 60 FPS, with improved load times across both modes. On Xbox Series S, meanwhile, the game runs at 1080p at 60 FPS, and, once again, has better load times.

The PS5 patch doesn’t add a performance mode, unlike the Xbox Series X patch. The PlayStation patch is available now, while the Xbox patch will be going live on April 8.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. The game will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud on April 8. For more on the game, make sure to check out our review for it through here.
