VOICED PROTAGONIST
This may seem like a controversial thing to want in a Persona game, given the series’ traditional usage of silent protagonists over the years, and how effectively it has managed to do that without compromising its storytelling, but we feel like now may be the right time for the popular RPG series to introduce its first ever voiced protagonist. By the looks of it, the protagonist in Persona 5 will indeed be voiced, but only partially so- that is, when he is working under the cover of the night as the Phantom Thief. And that would work just fine, since it feels like the Phantom Thief facet of his personality might shape up to be a character of its own. Meanwhile, letting us take control of a semi-silent protagonist during daytime, when we’re managing the social and school life of a teenager, would fit in with the structure the series has been known to follow.
