Sony is on a roll with one exclusive announcement after another. 2011 is undoubtedly looking pretty strong for the PlayStation 3 exclusives and today we have gathered a comprehensive list of 20 “confirmed” games and exclusive “only” to the PlayStation 3. The list also includes PlayStation Network games.
Editors Note: We have considered console exclusives. Also the listing is random and is not ranked.
20. Sorcery
With over 12 upgradeable spells, hundreds of unique potions and countless items to discover and collect, Sorcery immerses players in a unique fantasy story, like never before. Along their journey, players will encounter a multitude enemies, solve ingenious puzzles, mix and create unique potions, learn and craft new spells and heal a broken world shrouded in Darkness.
19. Resistance 3
Set in a brutal, alternate 1950s universe, America has been successfully conquered and destroyed by the deadly Chimeran race, forcing the last remaining human survivors to seek refuge in hiding. Players must take on the role of Joseph Capelli, the last surviving Sentinel from a clandestine military program, as he comes out of hiding to journey across a land of ruin in a heroic fight for survival against the merciless Chimera. In addition to an epic single-player campaign, Resistance 3 will offer two-player online or split-screen co-op through the single-player campaign, and a new, focused progression-based multiplayer experience.
18. Killzone 3
The story begins where Killzone 2 left off, with Visari, the vicious Helghast dictator, lying dead at the feet of Special Forces soldiers Sev and Rico. The battle may have been won but the war is far from over. Visari’s death has left behind a world of political scheming, infighting and outright murder. Meanwhile his parting gift, a nuclear bomb detonated in Phyruss, the Helghan Capital, has decimated the ISA invasion force. With no re-enforcements and supplies quickly running out, you must now fight against ruthless Helghast war machine alone.
17. The Last Guardian
The next game from Team ICO looks to deliver the same sweet, smooth and absorbing game play and environment as they did with their previous two games. The game is slated for Holiday 2011, so there is still about a year left for the game. We have very little information about the game but judging by the trailers it looks like it will be a great mix of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
