Mass Effect 2 saves might not work with Mass Effect 3
-

When Mass Effect 2 went under development the first thing Bioware announced was that Mass Effect saves will work in Mass Effect, hence changing some of the story elements in the sequel. But the case might actually be different for the third game in the series. Producer Casey Hudson speaking to GameInformer said: “ead is dead. Mass Effect 3, as with the rest of the trilogy, is Shepard’s story. If you have a dead Shepard at the end of Mass Effect 2, that saved game won’t import into Mass Effect 3. You can play Mass Effect 3 if you died in Mass Effect 2 of course, but you’ll have to create a new Shepard. Harsh? Yes. But we wouldn’t be serious about the concept of a suicide mission if you couldn’t die and your death didn’t have serious consequences.”

But you never know until the game is released. Right now we are enjoying Mass Effect 2 so check back later for more on Mass Effect “3″.

Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 both offer a number of different ways to play and act ingame. I’m sure most players will have a number of game saves by the time ME3 is out…Shepard lives….Shepard dies….Shepard sleeps with half the crew ;)
