7. LittleBigPlanet:
LittleBigPlanet Vita was a great little game that certainly captured the feeling of it’s older siblings on the PS3. Why not continue the trend? Everyone seems to love playing as the clumsy, yet adorably customizable Sackboy. With a world full of mini-games and quick action sequences LittleBigPlanet Vita really fits the gamer who has an on the go schedule. It’s perfect for a bus trip down to the grocery store or even out of state. Combined with all the charm of the previous Little Big Planet titles, Sony really can’t go wrong with some more sackboys and girls, running around.
Closing Thoughts:
Even with the quickly expanding mobile market, the PS Vita still has more than enough to offer above the competition. Gorgeous graphics, fun platform, puzzle games and actual buttons certainly make it appealing for people who don’t feel like gaming on a phone or tablet that only has a touch screen. Unfortunately though, the Vita is hurting a little with the lack of big name titles.
Competing against Nintendo, who is the unequivocal champion of handheld console gaming is also a task in itself, but Sony’s got a great product that can pair with not only the PS3 but the upcoming PS4. With some luck and the right titles the PS Vita could certainly make a lot of noise in the coming years, especially as we roll over to a new generation of hardware and software.
