Almost 10% Of Resident Evil 7 Players Are Playing The Game With PlayStation VR

That's pretty good, all things considered.

Resident Evil 7 is the first high profile VR AAA game that we have received- unlike most third party publishers, Capcom had the guts to make a full game in VR, and the result appears to be paying off for them in spades- in spite of VR’s generally low install rate, it appears as though an unusually high number of people are playing Resident Evil 7 with VR enabled.

According to ResidentEvil.net, a stat-tracking site that players can opt into when starting the game, almost 10% of the registered players on the site, or 88,289 players, are playing the game in VR. Considering that the VR functionality is exclusive to PlayStation VR and PS4 for now, this is a truly impressive number- and one that will probably rise exponentially once VR functionality is brought over to the other consoles, too.

Resident Evil 7 is available now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can check out our review for the game here.
