Dishonored 2

Bethesda’s first ever E3 press conference was nothing short of spectacular. With big reveals of Fallout 4 and Doom, Bethesda also announced Dishonored 2. However unlike the other two Dishonored 2 only received a cinematic trailer. In a recent interview with Polygon, Bethesda’s Pete Hines explained why they did not showed off more from the game.

“We thought it would be a couple of months early before we pull the curtain back next to Doom and Fallout 4. I did not wanted to hurry up and announce it during pre-E3 or showcase it next to the other two games,” Pete Hines explained. “In addition to everyone else had, I had three games that are competing against themselves in my own showcase and two of them are not even going to come out until next year. It felt like it may be too much at once so I kind of pushed that one down the line a little bit in terms of when we want to show the gameplay and do a similar demo to what we saw for Doom and Fallout 4 where we get to see a lot of the game.”

I guess we will see Dishonored 2 when it’s ready. Perhaps at Gamescom? Who knows but given the line-up that Bethesda has for 2015 and 2016, I won’t be too surprised if we hear more about Dishonored 2 until much later this year instead. Dishonored 2 is due for the PS4, Xbox One and PC next Spring.
