Death Stranding Emma Stone Leaked Image Rumors Are (Obviously) Fake

Some time ago, rumors began to circulate that Emma Stone may be in Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Death Stranding. There were ultimately two points these rumors were predicated on- the fact that Hideo Kojima personally appears to have a great appreciation for her (and he loves working with movie and TV industry people whose works he enjoys), and a leaked image that began to circulate, showing what looked to be Emma Stone in very similar garb and makeup to Mads Mikkelsen in Death Stranding.

Obviously the latter was fake- the ‘leak’ in question was actually a photograph of Mykie from the Glam&Gore YouTube channel, who today posted a long, detailed explanation of how it was achieved. You can watch that video below, actually, it’s rather fascinating.

However this doesn’t completely put Emma Stone out of the equation. Kojima has been consistently teasing about her involvement in the past so she may be in the game after all. Death Stranding itself is currently due out on PlayStation 4 at some time in the future, with a PC release to follow after that. Hopefully, we get another official trailer for the game this E3.
