One of the many criticisms of Bungie’s Destiny is the year-long exclusive agreement with Sony for additional content. This resulted in the infamous exclusives from Year Two still not being released for Xbox One players.

Unfortunately, it looks like that trend is going to continue As per the Destiny 2 teaser (aka “Last Call”) on the official PlayStation channel, the sequel will have “Content exclusive until at least Fall 2018.” More details will be shared in the Summer which sounds like something for Sony’s E3 2017 press conference.

As for current Destiny players, Year Two and Rise of Iron content exclusive to PS4 will likely hit the Xbox One by this Fall. Whether anyone will still be on Destiny by then remains to be seen.

Destiny 2 is rumoured to be out on September 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on PS4-exclusive content? Let us know in the comments below.

Wonder if they will support PS4-Pro?

      Of course.

It made PS4 the number 1 place to play Destiny before so why not do it again.

I just remember how Sony fans were crying about Microsoft doing this wit COD last gen. I guess it’s ok now lol

And Sony did it with COD this gen too which is even more ironic. Microsoft tried that tactic again this gen with Tomb Raider and the such but didn’t count on the horrible fail of Xbox One. Sure they had the green to get exclusive rights to game content but they didn’t have the system to back it like the 360. Once the exclusive rights well went dry PS3 soared and ultimately outsold Xbox, this gen PS4 soared out the gate.

Destiny is a new IP,COD wasn’t. So I can understand the complaint back then as it left out alot COD fans who didn’t get to play a game they’ve played before. Destiny didn’t have the luxury of a fanbase that COD does. It might’ve hurt Destiny’s fanbase growth if Xbox One wasn’t a miserable fail.

I’m not getting into the why’s and shoulda’s, I’m just saying that u can’t bash one for locking down content, then praise another for it, regardless if it’s new or not. It couldn’t be more hypocritical of people. And yes Xbots are hypocritical too. I just want to point it out
