Destiny 2 may be releasing on October 24th, which is later than the console versions, but it’s already looking to be a major success according to SuperData Research. In a new report, the analyst firm said it expects the sequel to sell 4 to 5 million digital copies on PC in the first three months alone.

As per SuperData, it “evaluated the performance of Destiny 1 on both console and PC and how it compared to other AAA titles that launched during the same time period.” Further clarification is forthcoming since the game hadn’t launched on PC in its lifetime. However, the firm is also taking the current “Battlenet release on PC and macro-level digital download trends” into account.

We’ll have to see if that actually comes to pass and if Bungie could capture the large PC market like Blizzard Entertainment has. Destiny 2 is also expected to be a major success on Xbox One and PS4 when it launches on September 6th so stay tuned for more details.
