Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be running at 1080p and 60 FPS when it launches thanks to a day one patch. This will bring the game up to the PS4’s standard, which was announced to run at 1080p when the Xbox One version was revealed to be running at 900p.

Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat stated to GameSpot that, “The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We’re very happy about that.”

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will be out on August 19th for the PS4 and Xbox One and it will include the original game along with the Reaper of Souls expansion. The game is currently available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Will you be purchasing the game later this month? Let us know in the comments.

Nice. I was gonna go for the ps4 version so I could get those extra P’s but if the xb1 version is gonna hit 1080 I can no transfer my 360 save and won’t have to start all over.

Really don’t understand why this game was running at 900p.It’s nice that 1080p has happened this kind of game needs the resolution. The Ps4 version has more goodies and I can transfer my characters over from Ps3.Blizzard has the Ps4 synced up to their network so updates will happen at the same time on Ps4/Pc.
