Bioware is working to ensure that Dragon Age: Inquisition is a big step up over its predecessors. While it will bear a resemblance to the first game in terms of gaining allegiances, but its environments are certainly looking far better. Three new pieces of concept art have been released, which indicate a forest, a ruined bridge in the mountains and an elven city surrounded by a lake. Check them out below.

Each piece of art was posted across various social networks with accompanying text. Game Informer took the time to gather the lines together, which read, “Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emerald waters doth life begin anew. And thus was mighty Arlathan cast down, its people swallowed by darkness – never to rise again.”

Arlathan most likely refers to the elven city. What are your thoughts? Make sure you comment below and let us know.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be releasing for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Q3 2014.
