As announced at E3 2014, Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve will launch an open beta exclusively for the Xbox One. After the developer delayed its game till February 10th 2015, it was announced that the beta would be taking place in January of next year. Check out the new gameplay footage showcasing the Leviathan getting its kill on above.

Evolve has already had an alpha exclusive to PC gamers this past July, which was shortly followed by a delay to early 2015 due to polish issues. Evolve’s core mechanic involves four players teaming up as a group of Hunters to take down a single, player-controlled monster that transform into more powerful forms but consuming neighbouring animals.

Evolve will also be heading to the PS4 and PC but if you want to get in on the beta, you’ll need an Xbox One. Will you be taking part in the beta this January? Let us know in the comments below.
