fallout 4

Fallout 4 is slowly reaching Half Life 3’s status as one of those games that may never be announced. Although Bethesda have vaguely hinted that the game might be in development via job listings and leaked castings, the no show at QuakeCon 2014 was rather disappointing and instead we got a new DOOM teaser.

To add insult to injury, Bethesda confirmed that they have no plans for a new Fallout game announcement at GamesCom. Regardless of the various disappointments, Roman Gluschenko, an avid fan of the franchise has gone ahead and recreated the Fallout 2’s toxic caves. Roman designed them in 3D and given the power of the new consoles and modern gaming PCs, it’s fair to assume that Fallout 4 might look similar or even better in the screenshots below.

As a retrospective, the highly radioactive Toxic Caves were located north of the Klamath village. What are your thoughts on the reincarnation below? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Fallout 4 is nowhere near half life 3 level. What is this sites deal with fallout? Bethesda doesn’t generally announce games until they are under a year or so from release and a game like fallout is gonna take a lot of time to build especially considering they are finally ditching the ancient gamebryo engine and making something new.

They upgraded gamebryo significantly for skyrim but it still has tons of issues especially in the memory department which is why it had such a hard time with ps3 and its split memory.

They will probably announce at e3 2015 with a holiday release that year. That is of course unless they do another elder scrolls game first which isn’t out of the realm of possibility since that series is their biggest money maker by far. I’d much prefer an elder scrolls game over fallout.

Comment even more insightful than the article, thanks G!

I could write a 20 page paper on all the issues with gamebryo. It was designed during the same era as renderware except instead of programmers they put bird seed on some keyboards and let a bunch of pigeons into the room.

Gonna have to second Big Mike. Maybe you should be writing these article, brother… or sister… er… non gender-specific alphanumeric name person.

Fallout 4 or not if; Roman Gluschenko can crowd source a Fallout 2 mod for Fallout 3 (with updated graphics) – I’d be all over it
