Gears of War On Xbox One Could Learn from Halo 4 – Black Tusk Studios

Which is obvious since their situation is somewhat similar to what 343 Industries went through during Halo 4.

Halo 4 and Gears of War on Xbox One are very similar. And by similar I don’t mean they have the same gameplay mechanics but both of them have been transferred from the original developers to new ones. 343 Industries took over the mantle from Bungie and went on to develop Xbox 360’s most successful game in Halo 4.

Black Tusk Studios faces the same challenge. However the studio’s general manager Rod Fergusson believes that they can learn a few things from 343 Industries.

“It’s a great model. I would be lying if we didn’t say that was an interesting model to look at and I feel, as a fan of the Halo series, they were successful with Halo 4,” Fergusson said to OXM.

Black Tusk’s faces a challenging dilemma of pleasing the Gears of War community, but they are more than ready for it. “That’s going to be our big focus, doing right by the fans and the community to show that Black Tusk understands Gears. You have to do it right before you do it differently.”

The next Gears of War will debut at this year’s E3. Be sure to stay tuned for more news and updates.
