Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Features a Chicken Cap

Get hype.

Though Hideo Kojima has relatively down-played his trolling with a lot of information and gameplay footage for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, he can’t seem to resist himself when the situation calls for it.

In the newest episode of Kojima Station, the director and series creator put viewers through three hours, promising some new details. By the end of it, he did reveal something new – a chicken cap which players could put on Big Boss’s head. Because it’s funny.

Anyway, the chicken cap allows players a degree of camouflage, hiding Big Boss as he sneaks around. Sadly, it also appears during cutscenes highlighting the utter absurdity of some situations as Boss hangs around with a chicken on his head.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be out next for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. What are your thoughts on this new “gear”? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
