Overwatch Replay System Arriving by Summer End

Play of the Game clips and highlights will finally have a home.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch may have been the best multiplayer experience of last year for many players but it lacked a number of features on arrival. That includes a replay system to allow players to save Play of the Game clips and other Highlights.

Currently, there is a system which stores Highlights from a handful of most recent matches but those are cleared whenever you exit the game.

A full-fledged replay system could be coming sooner than later thankfully. According to game director Jeff Kaplan on the official forums, “This will be live before the end of summer. It’s being worked on right now.”

Kaplan’s team has been fairly quick with other features like an emote/spray wheel and Server Browser for Custom Games. How will the new replay system pan out? For that matter, when will the reworked Play of the Game system arrive? Stay tuned for more information on the same.
