Overwatch Mei

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch debuted its latest animated short at Gamescom 2017 with “Rise and Shine” which focused on Mei’s story, how she awoke at Ecopoint Antarctica several years later and her journey to survive. You can check it out here and draw your own impressions on how good it is. However, Blizzard has recently released a Behind the Scenes video which details the process behind the making of the short.

Overwatch has a lot more coming in terms of animated shorts but the actual content is even more interesting. Junkertown debuted at Gamescom 2017 and is currently on the Public Test Realm for PC players to fool around with. Changes have also been made to heroes like Mercy and D.Va.

The former has a new Ultimate called Valkyrie which allows her to heal multiple allies, fire non-stop with increased damage and fire-rate and fly about freely. D.Va has meanwhile gained the ability to shoot in mid-flight while also gaining micro-missiles. There’s no date on when these changes go live though.
